Ezine Publishing Tutorial – Master The Basics Of Profitable Email Marketing

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008
Mark A. Abrahams asked:

In this article I would like to go over the basics that are
required to succeed with ezine publishing. If you would
like to run a successful internet business this is one of
the most important aspects of your business. Often this
part of a business is overlooked and your business does not
end up making as much profit as it should.

I am going to go over the following steps which will
improve the responsiveness of your subscribers and also
your sales.

1) Craft a focused email

Often when you write an email you will try to include too
many things in your email. For example if you are referring
to one web site only include a link to that particular web
site. If you put other links in your emails the likely
result is that nobody will actually click on your link.
Similarly do not try and address to many topics as you are
most likely to bombard your prospect with too much
information. With the increase in emails that we receive
today you have less time to read each individual email.

2) Write an attention grabbing subject line

The important of the subject line cannot be underestimated.
Often emails are not read because the email does not stand
out in comparison with other emails in your inbox. Just
take a look at your existing email. How many emails look
like spam with little value or just do not catch the
attention of the reader.

3) Continually surprise the readers of your ezine

If you send email offer after email offer to your reader
they will get bored of your email and unsubscribe from your
newsletter. You need to keep them continually on their
toes. Send surprise gifts, free reports and useful tips
that they can use.

Advanced Article Marketing-Attract New Cllients by Leveraging Your Present Articles

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008
Judy Cullins asked:

Maybe you’ve heard about article marketing. And even tried it.
And, you may be missing out on recycling your articles to give you much more visibility than to just submit them to article directories and place them on your web ssite.

Here’s 10 Ways

1. Upload to your web site new articles every two weeks.
This gives your visitors a good reason to return and spend more time on your web site. Your audience loves free content and so do the search engines. More time, eventually more buying.

2. Recheck your article titles. Be sure to make the first words search engine friendly with key words that people put into Google to search for your topic. When you Google your name you’ll see what the search engines like. They like benefit words and phrases. They like key words and phrases.

3. Take article titles from your ezine and add them to your site under ezine’s archived favorites. More titles that search engines will see. This works for tips too. To see this in action, visit a web site that does this.

4. Transform questions from your subscribers and potential clients into a three-part article including three questions and your answers in one topic each. You can also submit these to the article directories and your web site. Make sure the title has key words or benefits. For example, one of mine: “Advanced Article Marketing-Three Questions and Answers.”

5. Turn your articles into fre.e special bonus reports. No matter the length, your article can be the reason people buy larger packages from you–they want this particular information. Keep a folder called “Special Reports” in addition to “Articles to Submit.”

Each time you create a new product be sure to comb this goldmine. Naturally, you’ll want to add a bit to change the article you already submit. Add a story, some resources. Be sure to give it a title page that includes your other products list and links to buy.

5. Create an eBook as a ezine subscription bonus to double your sign ups. For example see the three categories in this 20-page eBook “20 High Octane Ways to Write, Publish, and Market your Book.” Opt-in subscriptions doubled each month from this one effort.

6. Combine short tips into a new article that have a focus on one topic. You can share the tips separately with other ezine publishers and then use the tips in an article to submit as a new article.

7. Sell information products from your articles. Be sure to add segways and transitions so it sounds like a book, rather than an article. That; means you need a beginning hook and thesis, a middle and an end.

8. Make more affiliate sales when you write and give articles to your affiliates, especially the benefit-driven ones. “Why do this” articles are like a mini sales letter. They don’t need to be long, maybe a half a page.

9. Be a guest article contributor to other ezines. They want your articles and will come to your site to get them. Often, an email will come announcing your article was enjoyed by these ezines. That makes your own list of subscribers go way up.

10.. Submit your articles to over 130 Web Site URLs each few weeks to keep your name alive. To increase greatly your ezine subscribers and your web visitors.

Advanced article marketing takes your few submissions to a few web sites over the moon–to get your site in the top 10 by search engines, and to attract your target market to your site for continued product sales and all the clients you want.

Your Newsletter Marketing Strategy: Five Things to Consider

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008
Stephanie Diamond asked:

Sending out a monthly newsletter takes a good deal of effort. You need to determine your goals and how to measure them, prepare your mailing lists, develop content, and make sure everything is delivered correctly. Can you confidently say that you are generating justifiable revenue from this effort –or are you sending out a newsletter because everyone else does?

With all the new technology available today, the term “newsletter” has morphed into a dozen different formats. You can certainly find one that fits your needs. One thing is clear–do not continue to send out a monthly newsletter unless you are getting a real return on your investment.

Some things to consider when evaluating your current newsletter:

1. Get an independent evaluation of your current newsletter strategy from a marketer you trust. Make sure to develop tangible success measurements. You need to know if what you are doing is actually worth continuing. Your communication with your customers needs to be personalized and targeted to sell. You are building a mailing list for a reason. Make sure that mailing list pays off.

2. Is a monthly format the right one? You may want something published regularly, or you may discover that a few targeted one-offs a year give you a greater return. Just like everything else you do for your business, you need to test and revise ideas, products and methods.

3. Take advantage of new technology. There are new ways to personalize your content and develop a dialogue with your customers that won’t be cost prohibitive. Consider using audio to announce your newsletter on your website or add audio in the body content.

4. Make reading your newsletter pay-off for your customer every time. Always offer discount links or other value-add information that separates your content from all the “value-free” content on the web today. Think about what the reader will be interested in, not what your company wants to tell them. Think about what they want to BUY, not what you want to SELL.

5. Use your support area to launch new newsletters. Many e-commerce businesses miss an opportunity to communicate with their customers when they go to the support area. Customers want quick answers. They also like knowing that the company cares about what they want and need. A newsletter that focuses on FAQs and support would be a welcome change from all the ‘marketing’ newsletters they receive. This idea is a simple one that only the most successful companies use. Don’t overlook a way to stand out.

Ezine Articles – Writing Articles For an Online Ezine

Friday, October 10th, 2008
Darren K Chow asked:

So you have a list of subscribers and you are wondering what to write for the next issue. Here are some tips on how to create interesting content for your Ezine subscribers.

Tip 1: It’s all in the title.

Your article title must be catchy and interesting. It must be compelling enough for the subscriber to want to read the rest of the article. However, coming up with a good article title is easier said than done. The secret to creating a good title lies in identifying a good angle to pursue. All good journalists know how to create interesting news titles from mundane stories. They know that it’s all about perspective.

Tip 2: Always stay relevant.

Always do what you can to make sure that the title stays relevant. For example, if your Ezine is about article writing, then your title should contain something that is relevant to article writing. Don’t digress and starting writing about SEO, Internet marketing, etc. When you focus is very specific, you will enjoy high click through rates. Otherwise, subscribers will just leave your Ezine.

Tip 3: Interesting is always better than boring.

Do your best to write an interesting article. If you don’t enjoy your own writing, chances are your readers won’t enjoy it either. If you can’t come up with anything interesting to write, then focus on the latest information. What is happening in the industry? Fresh content is almost always interesting.

Tip 4: Don’t be too lengthy.

Most leading Ezines in the industry feature articles that are between 700 to 1000 words. Try to keep your article length within that range.

Getting the Best Response From Ezine Advertising

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008
Joanne Ott asked:

Ezines are a great and inexpensive way to advertise your network marketing business opportunity. There are thousands of ezines on almost every subject, here are some tips to help you get started.

1. Pick the ezines that your target market subscribes to. There are many ezines on the subject of network marketing and home businesses, but you may want to narrow it down. You can find ezines on travel if you are marketing a travel business, or on health, or almost any other subject.

2. Subscribe to any that you are considering advertising to. There should be good quality content, as well as not too many ads. It should offer something of value and interest to their subscribers and be something they look forward to receiving each time.

3. How many subscribers do they have, and has it been inreasing or decreasing? If an ezine is losing subscribers it is probably due to content or perhaps they are sending out too many. Anything more than twice a week and many people are going to opt out rather quickly.

4. Pay for only solo ads or top sponsor ads. These cost more but are going to be seen by many more people and so therefore the likelihood of you getting sign ups is much greater. The solo ad is most effective because it is sent separately from the ezine itself.

5. How many solo ads does the ezine send out every week? One or two each week is enough. Many subscribers don’t want too many ads.

Ezine marketing delivers some of the most responsive and fastest converting prospects in the
industry when it is done right. These tips should help you get the most for your advertising dollars.
